The dried oregano is produced by the Ittihad cooperative in the Middle Atlas region of Tadla-Azilal. Used fresh or dried, it is part of the traditional bouquet of herbs of Provence, alongside thyme and rosemary.
Oregano is a shock antiviral. It is a melliferous species used as a digestive aid, as an antispasmodic, antiseptic and healing agent, as a diuretic and urinary disinfectant. Being rich in tannins and anti-inflammatory phenols, it relieves migraines, dental pain and reduces premenstrual syndromes.
